Monthly Assembly was SOOOOO Green!

September's assembly was very green! We dressed in our Be Green t-shirts and we were completely pumped about our first assembly. To start our assembly, our peer support team demonstrated some cool actions for each of our "7 Habits of Being Green" and then we reflected on ways that we "Sharpen Our Saw" as Mrs. Sztym led us through some really fun dances! To celebrate and recognize our annual Terry Fox run, Mr. Milford gave out certificates to our Terry Fox participants. Our assembly ended with each student holding a delicious apple and we bit into our apples at the same time to show our commitment to a healthy lifestyle.

This was a FANTASTIC Friday!

Fantastic Friday could not have been more fantastic! First, our Peer Support team led "Doubles Day," where we encouraged everyone to come to school dressed like a twin, triplet or quadruplet!



Next, internationally renowned author, speaker and artist, David Bouchard visited Lochearn and gave an inspiring presentation on the "Journey of Literacy."
